Southport’s oldest manor house
Meols Hall is Southport’s oldest manor house, dating back to the 12th Century. Set in a hundred acres of private parkland, adjoining the picturesque village of Churchtown, this is one of the first settlements in the North West, as dreamy now as it was then. After all these years it remains one of the most romantic venues in England.
The Tithe Barn, on the edge of the park, provides a strikingly beautiful setting in the North West for special events, including weddings, christenings, birthday parties, company get-togethers, product launches or award ceremonies.
It’s also a superb stately home venue for team building away days. The glorious grounds are perfect for a host of challenging outdoor activities, impeccably organised by our staff. Meols Hall is now as always, an escape from the everyday.
The Tithe Barn is surrounded by 100 acres of wonderful wooded parkland suitable for a wide variety of activities, including clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, archery and off-road driving and much more.
The Tithe Barn seats 120 guests, with facilities for an extra 60 guests in the evening, with marquees available on the lawns to cater for any event, large or small.
The Tithe Barn is one of the finest examples of its kind in the North West of England. This beautiful 400-year old barn has been meticulously restored by local craftsmen and combines modern facilities to make any event a perfect one.
With easy access and unlimited free parking, the Tithe Barn is an excellent venue for parties, promotions, seminars and location shoots. It has a fully fitted modern kitchen, bar facilities and a PA system.
The barn can host events for parties of up to 200 guests. Larger events can be accommodated by the addition of a marquee on the lawn.
The Coach House
The utterly unspoilt traditional cobbled courtyard provides ample space for large private events, exhibition displays or product launches. It can be covered to provide more space for the most elaborate creative plans.
On one side of the courtyard, the Coach House is perfect for pre-dinner, pre-event drinks, or for hosting a smaller seminar. Its long façade of French windows opens onto the courtyard where guests can relax and mingle before and after dinner.
Meols Hall is much more than an event space
It’s a place to realise dreams
Surrounded by acres of parkland grazed by sheep, ancient woods and majestic trees, Meols Hall is much more than an event space or stately home venue. The ambience remains enchanting and ethereal, making every event special. It’s a place to realise dreams, which is why it’s so popular as a wedding venue.
